OUR PROGRAM

Overview

Midtown Psychology Legal provides evidence based psychotherapy programs for individuals involved in the legal process. Each program includes 5–10 individual sessions focused on developing emotional regulation, skills building, and decision making skills that demonstrate meaningful change and responsibility.

Substance Use

Our substance use program supports clients in understanding the factors that contribute to problematic substance use and in building practical strategies for change. Sessions focus on awareness of vulnerabilities, coping skills, relapse prevention, and developing future plans for recovery and maintaining accountability.

Impaired Driving

This program is designed for individuals charged with or at risk of impaired driving offences. Sessions explore decision-making, substance use awareness, stress and impulse management, and responsibility behind the wheel. The focus is on learning tools that support safe and deliberate choices moving forward.

Anger Management

Our anger management program helps clients understand emotional triggers, develop strategies for emotion regulation, and learn constructive ways to respond under stress. The focus is on reducing reactivity, improving communication, and maintaining control in challenging situations.

Aggression and Conflict Resolution

Like the Pars program, this program helps individuals take responsibility for their actions in relationships, increase awareness of the impact of harmful behaviours, and develop skills for respectful, non-violent communication and conflict resolution.

Custom Programs

We also offer tailored programs for clients whose needs fall outside the main service areas. Custom programs may focus on stress management, emotional regulation, relationship skills, or other relevant areas identified through collaboration with the client and their lawyer.

Program Length and Cost

We know this is an important investment in clients’ legal and personal futures. We are committed to providing value at every step.

Most clients complete the program within 5–10 sessions, depending on their specific needs and legal requirements.

Full payment is required prior to the release of the final Letter of Completion. We provide insurance eligible receipts and accept payment by credit card or e-transfer.

Upon program completion, a detailed Letter of Completion is provided to the referring lawyer or client, if applicable.
